Daniel Island is a place where neighbors swiftly become friends, being alert for one another and offering a helping hand when others in the community are in need. There are countless ways to become very involved here on the Island. There are a few welcome committees, top of the line schools, churches and even really nice clubs. In Daniel Island there are groups for all interests. Some of those being fishing, kayaking, running, walking, working in your yard and garden, enjoying fine dining and much more. Not to mention that Daniel Island is the home of the famous Red Balloon Yard Sale that is very impressive with thousands of visitors and locals each year. I really enjoy getting to meet so many different people and becoming like a part of their family.
Wikipedia and Google say “Daniel Island is a 4,000-acre island located in the city of Charleston, South Carolina. Named after its former inhabitant, the colonial governor of the Carolinas, Robert Daniell, the island is located in Berkeley County and situated between the Cooper and Wando Rivers.”
